土著 Academic & 社区 Engagement (IACE)
的 Office of 土著 Academic and 社区 Engagement (IACE) leads the implementation of 亚博全站官网登录平台’s 本土的计划 and supports the success of 土著 students by coordinating educational, financial and cultural 资源 on campus and in local communities.
IACE's main priority is supporting 土著 student success. We are also responsible for managing the First Peoples House, building and supporting 土著 partnerships, and ensuring that 土著 content and ways of knowing are included in 亚博全站官网登录平台 curriculum and events.

In 2018, 亚博全站官网登录平台 launched the world’s first joint 当地法律 degree. 的 program combines intensive study of Canadian Common Law with intensive engagement with 当地法律s. 学生 graduate with a degree in Canadian Common Law (JD) and a degree in 土著 Legal Orders (JID). 的 教师 of Law program will also be the home of a new National Centre for 土著 Laws.

土著 language revitalization
土著 languages hold a wealth of knowledge and unique expression. Each language carries and represents a whole history, relationship to the land and distinct ways of thinking. 的y hold unique knowledge about living in the world, including traditions and ceremony.

土著 economic development
Through education, training and 研究, the National Consortium for 土著 Economic Development (NCIED) is supporting the next generation of 土著 business leaders. NCIED works with 土著 communities and entrepreneurs to advance traditional best practices, 创新, and 土著 economic development across the country.
